  • The Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History will host the Trail Running Film Festival on Saturday, April 18 (starting at 4:45 PM) where attendees join a one-mile run, enjoy happy hour, and watch films until 8:15 PM in Farrand Auditorium. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Crews working on the Highway 101 widening project are managing nighttime lane work and ramp closures that will cause traffic delays from today until April 18, affecting off- and on-ramps in Santa Barbara and Montecito.  Edhat
  • The U.S. Space Force is launching a Minotaur IV rocket today from Space Launch Complex 8 at Vandenberg, with residents in Santa Barbara and nearby counties aware they may hear sonic booms (weather permitting) during the launch window from 4:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.  Edhat
  • The LOSSAN Rail Corridor Agency with SBCAG and Ventura County Transportation Commission will begin a Pacific Surfliner roundtrip connecting Los Angeles and San Luis Obispo on May 4.
