- ➤ Alice Keck Park Memorial Garden is partly closed for trail repairs and accessibility upgrades through May—city staff are working with contractors to keep at least half the park open for public use. Noozhawk

- ➤ On Sunday, April 13, hundreds gathered at Santa Barbara City College’s Great Meadow for the 39th annual Kite Festival—families enjoyed kite contests and games amid colorful displays. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ CalFire released updated fire hazard maps that now show Santa Barbara neighborhoods as moderate—high—or very high hazard zones due to warmer temperatures and drier fuels. - ➤ Retail lifestyle boutique Maison K reopened in Montecito’s Upper Village at 1485 East Valley Road, Suite 1—taking over the former interior designer Marc Normand Gelinas shop after its Coast Village Road location closed in December.
