- ➤ Santa Barbara Airport hosted Airport Day with the theme 'Imagine a Future in Aviation' where students applied for scholarships, talked to pilots & air traffic controllers, and watched flyovers while enjoying a display of classic and exotic cars. - ➤ On Friday, June 7, 2,200 cyclists passed through Santa Barbara as part of the final AIDS/LifeCycle ride — a 545-mile trek from San Francisco to Santa Monica. - ➤ SpaceX will launch its Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex-4 at Vandenberg Space Force Base today at 6:34 a.m. with backup windows until 10:34 a.m.; the mission will send 26 Starlink satellites into orbit and the booster will land on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship in the Pacific—bringing a possible sonic boom to nearby counties if conditions allow.
