- ➤ Santa Barbara City Council will start its $577 million budget talks at 2 p.m. today at City Hall—community groups are urging the council to boost the Housing Trust Fund to $5 million while the budget currently sets aside $1.5 million for each of fiscal years 2026 and 2027.
