- ➤ Today, officials are building a large sand berm at West Beach for the 4th of July fireworks show that will draw over 20,000 people to the waterfront and many more from nearby neighborhoods. Street closures on Cabrillo Boulevard, a Montecito parade starting at 11:30 a.m., and a Goleta drone show at Dos Pueblos High School with gates opening at 6 are planned, and public safety will be maintained by local police and fire services (unauthorized fireworks remain banned in several neighboring areas).
