- ➤ Federal agents raided a Carpinteria cannabis farm on Thursday near Glass House Farms as a large protest gathered along Casitas Pass Road and Foothill Road—officers detained 10 workers and used smoke bombs to disperse an estimated crowd of 100 to 200—and Carpinteria Councilwoman Mónica J. - ➤ Three self-identified First Amendment auditors filmed and harassed patients, visitors, and staff outside Cottage Hospital on Nogales Avenue on July 9, sparking concern among local residents. Edhat

ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Researchers from UCSB and SDSU developed a new nonlinear model that uses NASA’s SMAP data (which tracks soil moisture) to study how plants handle water stress.
