- ➤ The Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 32nd annual Goleta Lemon Festival on September 27 and 28 at Girsh Park to celebrate Goleta's citrus history. The festival honors local roots from Sherman Patterson Stow’s first commercial lemon orchard and will feature more than 80 booths with lemon-themed food and crafts, live music, and family activities — drawing over 40,000 visitors — as part of this long-standing tradition. - ➤ Santa Barbara Humane will offer free dog vaccinations, flea control, and microchips at Day in the Park on Saturday, Aug. 17 at Waller Park in Santa Maria. - ➤ The City of Santa Barbara said Casa de la Raza finished the first phase of safety fixes at 601 E. Montecito Street after a July 17 inspection removed red tags from most areas—though the Family Service Center and kitchen still remain under limits.
