- ➤ Santa Barbara County Animal Services is asking the public to foster or adopt about 50 dogs from today until September 30 as two shelters are renovated. The Lompoc Animal Shelter will run with a capacity of 20 dogs and the Santa Barbara Animal Shelter with 30 dogs—steps that aim to reduce stress and create safer spaces for pets. - ➤ The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office announced that detectives found 33 new victims of a fraud scheme by Jonathan Tudor, a West Hollywood man who swindled 38 people out of money by taking about $16,000 each and now faces 61 felony counts after a search of his home seized over $250,000 in luxury goods—officials say more victims may come forward.
