- ➤ Elizabeth Poett, a seventh-generation rancher, will host The Ranch Table dinner on October 11 at her historic ranch near Lompoc to launch a Farm-to-Foodbank initiative supporting the Santa Barbara County Foodbank amid federal funding cuts. The fundraiser — featuring hands-on ranch activities, live music, and an auction — aims to cover up to a quarter of a $1 million goal and to buy produce directly from local farmers. - ➤ Today, the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians holds its annual Chumash Charity Golf Classic at Alisal Golf Course in Solvang to raise funds for local programs (Angels Foster Care, CALM, Mental Wellness Center).
