- ➤ The Santa Barbara Royals Ice Hockey beat Ventura Poseidon by a score of 4 to 1 Saturday in LA Kings High School Hockey League play. Ventura scored after 7 seconds but Santa Barbara held them scoreless afterward while goalie Dean Wendel saved 34 shots and Easton Petersen scored a hat trick — the team will next play on Oct 11 at 5:30 p.m. at Ice in Paradise.
