- ➤ MOVE Santa Barbara County will host Ride Santa Barbara 100 on October 18—its 14th annual fully supported cycling event offering four route options from Chase Palm Park that showcase the coastal roads and Gibraltar Road climb. - ➤ UCSB physicists in the LZ collaboration have narrowed the clues on dark matter by analyzing 280 days of data from an underground liquid xenon detector collected from March 2023 to April 2024—this work will guide further searches and upgrades to a next-generation detector called XLZD as the team plans to collect 1,000 days of data by 2028.
