- ➤ On October 16, the United Boys and Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County raised over $475,000 at its 10th Anniversary Rally4Kids event, setting a record for the organization. - ➤ Nelson Trichler, a 44-year Search and Rescue veteran, was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at a fundraising barbeque held at the Santa Barbara Carriage and Western Museum on October 11.
