- ➤ Following an atmospheric river that raised Cachuma Lake to 77% capacity, 3,000 pounds of rainbow trout were released last week by officials in cooperation with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, and fishing is open year-round with a valid license and boats subject to a 30-day Quagga inspection (only applicable to motorized vessels). - ➤ Los Padres ForestWatch is urging Central Coast residents to support the Roadless Area Conservation Act that will protect wild public lands—on December 2 the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee will review the bill and accept public comments to help keep long-held roadless protections intact.
